How Did These Toxic Stories Sink Their Claws Into Your Life? 

Well….it’s complicated… But it definitely has roots in your past. 

Do any of these sound like your childhood? 

Your parents had impossibly high standards:

The only way to earn their affection was to perform. You develop an unrelenting perfectionism, constantly worrying that your work and life isn’t measuring up.

Social Media warped your view of “reality”:

Daily views of the  fittest, most successful, happy, and attractive people in the world leaves you constantly worried and self-conscious at your imperfections, and inability to measure up. You have no idea how to measure up to the world’s expectations of you, or what your “purpose” is.

Your parents were overscheduled:

Every second of your day was planned out. Rushed between sports or activities, you were left on edge due to their time stress. You learn that there’s never enough time, that your interests aren’t important enough to dictate the schedule, that its selfish to want time to yourself.

A school change destroyed your identity:

You use to be smart, athletic, popular, or funny, but that all disappeared. You learn you’re just “not good enough”, or you get self-destructive: workaholism, restrictive eating, over-training, bullying. Anything to get your identity back, and if you do; you constantly fear people will discover you’re a fraud. 

You were bullied:

You fear that other people are judging everything about you. You mind works overtime to ensure you fit in, whatever unlikely situation might arise.

You might self-enforce an unhealthily restrictive diet, beauty routine, exercise routine, binge eat, or another compulsion. Attempting to control anything in your life damages your physical and mental health.

Your parents were overprotective:

They would intervene in any potentially risky situation. You can’t handle things on your own, the world is dangerous and scary. Your lack of experience solving physical or social problems leaves you easily overwhelmed.

Religious beliefs made you feel perpetually sinful:

Beliefs came into conflict with your thoughts, desires or actions. You feel constant guilt and self-loathing. You’re a bad person, and deal with this shame by punishing yourself, or hiding aspects of your personality. You never learn who your authentic self is, and so can never understand what you truly value, desire, or are motivated by.

You suffered trauma:

A traumatic event or period of time created a deep sense of helplessness in you. You stop trusting people, and feel you’re powerless, and perhaps to blame for what happened. You compulsively prepare for any eventuality in an attempt to never feel out of control again. Perhaps you turn to food, binge eating in the hopes you can become “fat” and “ugly” so that no one would want to target you again.

If any of these left a knot in your stomach, I want to let you know that:

You CAN shake off this unending overthinking, feel appreciation for exactly where your life is, and feel excitement for where it’s going.

After discovering yoga in 2009 I was amazed to experience the complete evaporation of my crippling anxiety and depression during classes. I was hooked, soon completing my 200+ hour yoga teacher training, and transitioning off medications.

With a powerful new sense of calm, and with the support of my students, I left a broken marriage.

  • Anxiety calming yoga 35 minute class.
  • Gentle 35 minute pillow yoga and 25 minute bed-time yoga to calm your thoughts before bed. 
  • Relaxing yin-yoga 35 or 60 minute classes to lean in to deep stretches. An amazing way to practice releasing worries
  • Slowing down 60 minute yoga. How to stop mental “to-do” checklists and become present.
  • Ujjayi breathwork. This “yogis” breathing is very calming. Great to do when you’re triggered by something. 
  • Calming breathing guided meditations for 7 or 10 minutes.

  • Relationship with time: This 30+ minute workshop relates to the story I just told. We rework your relation to time in order to reduce the anxiety and overwhelm that comes from a time relationship based on lies.

      We use a wide range of tools to uproot and overcome fear based stories. We remove the stories that keep us locked in worries about the future and everything we should be doing, and replace them with calmness, appreciation and gratitude for our present.

    • A 10 minute gentle sequence that makes you feel joyous and awesome. 
    • 15, 20, and 25 minute “grounding” sequences that makes you feel strong and self-assured. One is from a beautiful guest teacher Nadine, I’ll tell you more about her in another email! 
    • An intense 55 minute yoga flow focused solely on making you feel like a fiery confident goddess.
    • A 45 minute self-compassion flow, designed to build self-love, which leads to self-worth, which is the root of true authentic confidence
    • We’ve got some POWERFUL guided meditations cover all of the building blocks of confidence: self-love, joy, gratitude, forgiveness to yourself and others, connection to your authentic intuition and more.
    • You can also watch my workshop about identifying and overcoming fear. This is almost 30 minutes of coaching grade content that digs out limiting beliefs and fears that make you feel insecure, unconfident, and that hold you back from your potential.

      I’m here to tell you that these problems stem from fear-based, often subconscious stories:

      Yes, we use transformational yoga, but it’s merely the anchor around which we build powerful teachings and techniques that empower you to unleash your fiery badass within. 

      How Did These Toxic Stories Sink Their Claws Into Your Life? 

      Well….it’s complicated… But it definitely has roots in your past. 

      Do any of these sound like your childhood? 

      Your parents had impossibly high standards:

      The only way to earn their affection was to perform. You develop an unrelenting perfectionism, constantly worrying that your work and life isn’t measuring up.

      Social Media warped your view of “reality”:

      Daily views of the  fittest, most successful, happy, and attractive people in the world leaves you constantly worried and self-conscious at your imperfections, and inability to measure up. You have no idea how to measure up to the world’s expectations of you, or what your “purpose” is.

      Your parents were overscheduled:

      Every second of your day was planned out. Rushed between sports or activities, you were left on edge due to their time stress. You learn that there’s never enough time, that your interests aren’t important enough to dictate the schedule, that its selfish to want time to yourself.

      You were bullied:

      You fear that other people are judging everything about you. You mind works overtime to ensure you fit in, whatever unlikely situation might arise.

      You might self-enforce an unhealthily restrictive diet, beauty routine, exercise routine, binge eat, or another compulsion. Attempting to control anything in your life damages your physical and mental health.

      Religious beliefs made you feel perpetually sinful:

      Beliefs came into conflict with your thoughts, desires or actions. You feel constant guilt and self-loathing. You’re a bad person, and deal with this shame by punishing yourself, or hiding aspects of your personality. You never learn who your authentic self is, and so can never understand what you truly value, desire, or are motivated by.

      You suffered trauma:

      A traumatic event or period of time created a deep sense of helplessness in you. You stop trusting people, and feel you’re powerless, and perhaps to blame for what happened. You compulsively prepare for any eventuality in an attempt to never feel out of control again. Perhaps you turn to food, binge eating in the hopes you can become “fat” and “ugly” so that no one would want to target you again.

      A school change destroyed your identity:

      You use to be smart, athletic, popular, or funny, but that all disappeared. You learn you’re just “not good enough”, or you get self-destructive: workaholism, restrictive eating, over-training, bullying. Anything to get your identity back, and if you do; you constantly fear people will discover you’re a fraud. 

      Your parents were overprotective:

      They would intervene in any potentially risky situation. You can’t handle things on your own, the world is dangerous and scary. Your lack of experience solving physical or social problems leaves you easily overwhelmed.

      If any of these left a knot in your stomach, I want to let you know that:

      You CAN shake off this unending overthinking, feel appreciation for exactly where your life is, and feel excitement for where it’s going.

        Q:  This would be a big investment for me

        It’s totally normal to feel that way, I’ve been there myself. But consider it this way: 

        1. It’s good that you feel this is a big investment, because it means you will take this seriously. Reminding yourself not only of the work you’ll have to do to unlock your sexy inner goddess, but also the work you had to do to earn the money to pay for this platform,
